I thought would quickly mention that Greg Taylor, cover artist for Encounter #3, is soon to launch a new made-to-order RPG character painting service! If you're interested in getting professional PC portrait done, check out his new site at: www.battlebrush.com
The 'September' issue has finally been let loose! Unavoidable production problems held up the release once again. Hopefully the next issue will actually be released on time! Encounter #3 can be downloaded for FREE from www.encountermagazine.au2.com
Encounter is now seeking submissions for issue #3, which will be due for release at the end of September.
Eventually guidelines will be placed on the 'zine's website, but submissions should be long enough to constitute at least a one page article (rather than a single spell etc.) and be submitted in .rtf or .doc format (without any special formatting). Unfortunately, the timing is a little tight because of the delay in releasing #2, but the submission deadline for Encounter #3 is around 24 August to allow for time to organise artwork and prepare the layout etc. before the end of September.
I'm happy to report that Encounter #2 appears to have been well received, judging from the feedback forwarded my way so far. Thanks to everyone for their positive comments and suggestions! On a related bit of news, since the launch of the 'zine at the end of March the website has received nearly 6,000 hits.
The "June" issue of Encounter has finally been released, over two weeks late, after being delayed by a number of unplanned misadventures. Better late than never! Issue #2 can be downloaded for FREE from www.encountermagazine.au2.com
